Evaluating the Hyperbolic Model on a Variety of Architectures

چکیده
We illustrate the application of the hyperbolic model, which generalizes standard two-parameter dedicated-link models for communication costs in messagepassing environments, to four rather different distributed-memory architectures: Ethernet NOW, FDDI NOW, IBM SP2, and Intel Paragon. We first evaluate the parameters of the model from simple communication patterns. Then overall communication time estimates, which compare favorably with experimental measurements, are deduced for the message traffic in a scientific application code. For transformational computing on dedicated systems, for which message traffic is describable in terms of a finite number of regular patterns, the model offers a good compromise between the competing objectives of flexibility, tractability, and reliability of prediction. 1This author's work was supported in part by NSF grant ECS-9527169, and by NASA contract NAS119480 while the author was in residence at the Institute for Computer Applications in Science and Engineering (ICASE),NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA 23681-0001.

مدل عملکردی تحلیلی FPGA برای پردازش با قابلیت پیکربندی مجدد
Optimizing FPGA architectures is one of the key challenges in digital design flow. Traditionally, FPGA designers make use of CAD tools for evaluating architectures in terms of the area, delay and power. Recently, analytical methods have been proposed to optimize the architectures faster and easier. A complete analytical power, area and delay model have received little attention to date. In addi...

In this paper, a new T-S fuzzy hyperbolic delay model for a class of nonlinear systems with time-varying delay, is presented to address the problems of stability analysis and feedback control. Fuzzy controller is designed based on the parallel distributed compensation (PDC), and with a new Lyapunov function, delay dependent asymptotic stability conditions of the closed-loop system are derived v...
متن کاملComparison of the hyperbolic range of two-fluid models on two-phase gas -liquid flows
In this paper, a numerical study is conducted in order to compare hyperbolic range of equations of isotherm two-fluid model governing on two-phase flow inside of pipe using conservative Shock capturing method. Differential equations of the two-fluid model are presented in two forms (i.e. form I and form II). In forms I and II, pressure correction terms are hydrodynamic and hydrostatic, respecti...

Introduction: The revolution in hospital design is called biophilic design; because the application of biophilic design in hospitals is one of the cornerstones of the humanization of health centers and hospitals. In this regard, the aim of this study was to Evaluating the effect of using biophilic design and architecture strategies on the improvement of physical and mental health indicators ...
متن کاملStudy Of Thermoelastic Damping in an Electrostatically Deflected Circular Micro-Plate Using Hyperbolic Heat Conduction Model
Thermoelastic damping (TED) in a circular micro-plate resonator subjected to an electrostatic pressure is studied. The coupled thermo-elastic equations of a capacitive circular micro plate are derived considering hyperbolic heat conduction model and solved by applying Galerkin discretization method. Applying complex-frequency approach to the coupled thermo-elastic equations, TED is obtained for...
